Hi there, I’m very new to smart carve. I bought a second hand machine with yueming control panel and smart carve software with dongle. Machines works very well, but can’t seem to have it connected to the machine and this window on smart carve doesn’t seem to appear?? Can anyone please advise ?

I couldn't find a website with exact instructions on how to properly set up the software, but the user guide should provide all the necessary information related to the way the software can be configured based on your needs and for your machines.
I'm having trouble with Smartcarve. Can't find softdog. Is it because I didn't connect to a laser cut machine or I have 2 install some kind of driver? I wanna do the work on my laptop without connecting the machine. Is it possible?

The "softdog" is a USB dongle which contains the drivers. Also, the machine is required to be connected to the PC so the SmartCarve will work normally. Unfortunately, this is all the information I could find. To download the drivers, use the Google Search results list. There are pages hosting the driver for your laser machine.
I clicked on standard view by mistake and now, I no longer have access to the layer list. How do I recover the layer list? Thank you.

I've downloaded SmartCarve, but it's impossible to test it since it requires the HASP device. It's not enough to simply install the program because upon starting it, a message will say that the HASP device and driver are missing. I recommend you check the main menu and options found in that menu, especially in the Window section from where you can remove various layers. Additionally, access the installation folder and look for INI files. Backup them and then restart the application and it should appear the same.
I just bought a laser and it came with SmartCarve. Can you tell me why SmartCarve 4.3 would not be able to be run by a simple VBScript file? Controlling the software via the keyboard is possible, but none of the accelerator keys can be controlled by a simple script file. I'm just trying to import a file over and over again without having to use a mouse or keyboard all the time. I notice that the version of 4.3 that I have is labeled BETA in the Help\About window. Any suggestions?

You can't use a VBscript file with SmartCarve because it doesn't support one. I have searched the web for this combination/possibility but it's not possible. However, you can program the software with AutoIT. AutoIT is an application that allows you to create scripts to automate tasks on your desktop. You can control and perform any action you like.
Yes, the application is compatible with the Windows 7 operating system. To obtain the software as well as getting additional information, visit the website which contains all this information. In Windows 7, right click and select Run as Administrator when you're about to install it.

There are two ways to restore the elements hidden in the main interface of SmartCarve:
Completely remove the application and then reinstall it again. Delete the remains of the software before reinstalling. Use CCLeaner to delete obsolete registry entries.
Access the main menu bar and go through the items because many apps have the possibility to use these feature to remove or add elements. It's typically found in Edit/View menus.
I have a CamFive laser with a dongle and am using Smartcarve software. The dongle only works on 2.0 usb. My laptop only has 3.0 usb. I have tried hubs but since if does not connect direct to computer it still does not work. Any updates form Smartcarve dongle using a 3.0 usb??
